At
the time of Noah’s 250th birthday,
his hometown of West Hartford has redefined
its town center with the development of Blue
Back Square. It has been named in honor
of West Hartford’s most famous native
son. His statue, which formerly stood
on the corner near the library, will stand
at the center of Blue Back Square in the public
space at the front of the town library where
it will serve as a “civic piece of art”,
according to developer Richard Heapes.
The
lobby of the south garage, near the entrance
to the Hartford Hospital Medical Center,
will highlight Webster’s Garden, with medicinal
herbs such as sage and lavender. And
nearby attorneys’ offices will be evidence
of Noah’s early work for copyright laws.
