Gingerbread Day 2014 will take place on Friday, December 12 at 6 and 8 p.m., and Saturday, December 13 at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Gingerbread Day is an annual event which allows kids and adults alike to construct a homemade creation from homemade gingerbread, fresh icing, and delicious candies. Taking place on the first weekend of December, the event is a sight to behold! The houses are baked using a special recipe and cookie cutters from Spicebrook Forest, a local company owned by Christine Brooks. Each cookie is handmade at the Noah Webster House and fun candy mixes offer a variety of artistic options.
On Friday, have a night out at the Noah Webster House!
On Friday, December 12, adults age 21 and over can join us for a BYOB (or W) gingerbread house event! Bring your favorite beer or wine (we’ll provide the glasses), grab a seat, and build away. The evening will feature light hors d’oeuvres, tiny decorative candies, colored icing, and door prizes. Each house kit is $17 for museum members and $20 for non-members*.
On Saturday, spend a family-friendly day at the Noah Webster House!
At three different sessions, kids and adults alike can build a delightful (and delicious!) house from holiday themed candies, white icing, and homemade cookies. Each house kit is $12 for museum members and $15 for non-members*.
*Pre-registration is required as space is limited. A maximum of two people may work on each house kit.
