Historic interpreters are available to conduct tours on select Saturdays throughout the year.  Call ahead for scheduling.

We are closed on major holidays (New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve and Day) as well as the first 5 weekdays of January.

Getting the Most Out of Your Visit!

To fully experience the Noah Webster House and museum, we recommend that you reserve at least an hour for your visit.

Guests have the opportunity to view the 15 minute orientation film (Noah Webster: Schoolmaster of America), and explore two galleries.  Experience the historic Noah Webster House with our tablet tour (translated in both English and Spanish), or when available, one of our experienced guides.

Don’t forget to stop into the West Hartford Gift Shop, and take home a special memory of your visit.

West Hartford has many charming eateries and shopping just north of the Noah Webster House at West Hartford Center, which features Blue Back Square (named after Webster’s Blue-Backed Speller!)
