“Flags of the Republic”

Discover the stories behind America’s evolving identity through rare and historic flags on display at the Noah Webster House!
This special exhibit will feature:
- All 27 official versions of the American Flag
- 5 full-size historic flags including the unique 15-star, 15-stripe design nicknamed, “Stars and Stripes”
- Liberty’s Five Flags (flag designs which have rarely been displayed in Connecticut!)
FREE admission on June 14, 2025, in conjunction with Connecticut Open House Day! Don’t miss the chance to explore the story of America’s flags in the Webster Family home, where generations once shaped cloth by hand, and history was never far from the loom. This exhibit was generously loaned to the museum temporarily by Robert Rungee.
