Early American Adventure Camp
Ages 8-12
Early American Adventure Camp is our full day camp, offered in conjunction with West Hartford’s Westmoor Park.
With activities scheduled at the Noah Webster House and at Westmoor Park over 5 days, children will experience first-hand the chores,
games and history of the past. In 2026, each week offers a different theme and a new set of activities!
- Week One campers will learn all about Piracy in the 1700s, (did you know that Noah Webster wrote a children’s book about PIRATES?)
- Week Two campers will experience Early America “Through the Seasons”.
- At Westmoor Park, children care for the barnyard animals, tend the vegetable garden, and create crafts from nature.

Piracy in the 1700s

Did you know West Hartford’s very own Noah Webster wrote a book about the dangers of piracy?
Climb aboard & set sail into the 1700s as campers become early American adventurers, learning all about pirates, playing themed-games, & creating hands-on crafts inspired by 18th-century swashbucklers!

Early America Through The Seasons
7/20/26 – 7/24/26
Travel through a full year of 18th-century life in one week! By participating in seasonal chores, foods, and traditions, campers will learn how daily life for families in the 1700s changed with the seasons.
Camp is held at two different locations: Monday/Wednesday/Friday sessions will be held at the Noah Webster House, 227 South Main Street. Tuesday & Thursday sessions will be held at Westmoor Park, 119 Flagg Road.
Hours of camp are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. An extended hour until 5:00 pm is available for $50/week.
2026 Pricing: $290/per child per week for Noah Webster House Museum Members*
$325/per child per week for non-members
