Welcome back! Enjoy a little family-friendly al fresco dining on Thursday, July 16 from 5-8 p.m. at the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society!
Iron & Grain Co. and Fuego Picante are making dinner for you! Iron & Grain Co. operates out of a repurposed 1959 Chevy Viking and cooks up favorites like Black & Blue Burgers and Street Corn on their wood-fired grill. They also will be serving up draft beer and their signature cocktails (valid I.D. required). Iron & Grain’s menu of fresh and locally sourced foods cooked over an open flame is a fixture at farmers markets and events throughout the state.
Fuego Picante serves up authentic Mexican food with portions to satisfy even the biggest appetite! Fuego Picante offers Mexican staples from tacos and burritos to quesadillas, tostadas and tortas. They also have classics such as carne asada, chimichangas, and savory al pastor served alongside sweet pineapple chunks. For dessert, try Fuego Picante’s freshly fried churros.
The museum will be selling ice cream treats to finish off your meal and raise funds for the museum.
Guests will eat outside on the patio or in the parking area where tables will be spread out to allow room between families. Please join us to visit with your neighbors from a safe distance and raise money to support the museum which, like many cultural institutions, has lost significant revenue due to event cancellations and closures required to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. A portion of the proceeds of the food sold each evening goes to the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society to support its educational mission.
There is a $5 suggested donation to enter per person ages 10 and up. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Please preregister at noahwebster.yapsody.com as attendance will be limited as recommended by the state to maximize safety. Alcohol is available to those 21 years or older. A valid ID will be required.
